PROGRAM SUMMARY

Our Program

Healing Out Loud leadership and empowerment educational programs have been developed for over 29 years to become the most unique and comprehensive accompaniment of communication, personal growth, and healing mindfulness technologies, expertly combined with the power of music and singing.

Our social model programs are driven by an “all for one” interdependent circle of support. This grows important therapeutic trust and allows our students to take new empowering risks to be seen, heard and celebrated in breakthrough ways both personally and professionally.

An intensive design that takes personal and professional communication to the next level, this program uses a vast array of teaching tools and techniques, including, but not limited to: the Objective Study For The Actor: Choosing your own subtext and context to any situation or communication based on Your conscious (on purpose) intention, powerfully. Classical Bel Canto: Vocal training in the anatomy and use of the human instrument (singing and spoken) This includes true support, proper vowels and best vocal/cranial placement. Full formal stage training and terminology, e.g.proper mic use, hand held, lav, headset as needed, entrances and exits. These and many more best practices from the worlds of music, psychology, and personal growth give Healing Out Loud the cutting edge of transformation in leadership and empowerment programs.

ORGANIZATIONAL HISTORY

Our History

The Healing Out Loud educational programs are the culmination of a 30-year odyssey by Founder, Christopher Fairchild to use his performing, composing, teaching and eight years managing a drop in center for homeless mentally ill, to help people from all backgrounds who are hurting. Fairchild is also an accomplished recording artist, singing the lead track ``Eye Of The Storm`` on the Voice of The Homeless album. He then created and released his first solo album “Mighty Days”, and created/composed the musical “Dracul” which was produced at the Lyceum Theatre in San Diego and the Poway Center for the Performing Arts, which garnered him a special San Diego Emmy award for writing the song “Splendid.” From 1990 to 1995, he created and directed a multiple award winning musical performance group of homeless, mentally ill adults in downtown San Diego. The group used the medium of performing arts to heal emotional issues and encourage participants back into the mainstream of society. This group provided the foundation for the Healing Out Loud phenomenon.

The Healing Out Loud program curricula were perfected through successful for-profit workshops, working with the fortune 200 C suite, and not-for-profit classes for at-risk populations, which now boast over 4,500 graduates, enhanced by the founder's experience as a public school and special population educator, social worker and hypnotherapist.

The programs have expanded from its origins to include an ever growing number of healing modalities and venues reaching an ever expanding range of populations.

Testimonials

What Our Participants Say About Us

I would just like to take time out to personally thank you. The gift you have to love and train youth is beyond amazing. Learning from you was truly an honor. I've watched you give love and kindness to students who have never learned that before and it's amazing how it really can change a person's life. Your ability to not have funding but drive every week to teach students (some of whom don't show up or truly appreciate it) shows the love you really have. You have changed my life in a way no one ever has or will. You've given me the strength to express myself but feel empowered. You've healed scars from my past and changed all the can't and won't to do and yes I can. I'm really grateful and thankful to have met you and been in your class. - Cassy

I am really glad I found Healing Out Loud because after I left my performing arts college, I felt a little lost but I found some new friends and a great environment to express myself that's full of love and light. - Jojo

This class has given me the opportunity to expand my abilities, tap into parts of my soul that I'd put on hold, and really truly find MY voice among the deafening roar of the world. It has allowed me to really grow as an artist and person. - Willow

First I have to thank Christopher Fairchild for being the most amazing vocal mentor ever! Being in this class has opened my mind, heart and soul to the beauty of singing. I've had many hardships and obstacles but music has aided me to move forward. Through this class I saw my talent and recognized it. After this the story of my life is going to begin in a new, improved chapter. Robbie

Taking Christopher's class really helped me get the finishing touches that I needed and that every performing artist should know; from teaching standing postures to breathing techniques and many more fun and interactive skills. There is something about Christopher that when he's in the room, you feel the air and ambient change and there is an invisible warm, kind hearted bond that is build within each specific class and ties nothing but support and happiness on everyone. When I sing in Christopher's class, his guidance helped me tie my skills and emotions to the song, making it even more special. It is an honor to have taken his classes and it is life-changing with transformations not only in my life but in the class as well. - Edwin
